EasyCover.com - The UK's first insurance quote comparison service.

The service was launched in late 1995, initially under the name Carquote.co.uk and then as Easycover.com.

It was created, not by an insurance company, but by a small team of computing and marketing specialists, who wanted to use technology to save time shopping around for insurance quotes. (Steve and Paul Walsh, the two brothers behind Easycover, also created the award winning hotel booking service Laterooms.com to save time shopping around for the best hotel room rates)

More than a decade later Easycover is still offering an insurance quote comparison service, but new insurance partners and new technology allows us to provide more detailed quotes, the facility to compare policies from insurer to insurer and to receive quotes by e-mail.

We have also extended the service to include life and travel insurance quote comparison and over the next few months will feature home insurance quotes.

Over the past decade our original idea has been copied by many competitors and as a result has helped millions of people find an insurance policy - quicker and cheaper.

So we hope you use the service - not because we are the biggest, but because we came up with the idea of a quote comparison service - and we are still trying to be the best.
